This month, our webcast will feature Mayra Rodriguez, former Planned Parenthood clinic manager who blew the whistle on egregious deficiencies and mismanagement at her affiliate.

We will walk through some of the highlights from the court transcripts in her monumental case against Planned Parenthood.

Mayra Rodriguez spent 17 years inside Planned Parenthood in Arizona starting as a receptionist and working her way up to clinic manager. After managing a Title X location where no abortions were performed, Mayra went on to manage three clinics, including the largest abortion facility in the area in Glendale.

During her time at the Glendale facility, she witnessed physician malpractice, illegal conduct of a doctor, falsification of affidavits and patient records, and failure to report a minor who had an adult partner. After she began voicing her concerns, her superiors began giving her a really hard time about common, normal daily stuff from other clinics. Following her complaints, she was terminated from her position in October of 2017. She decided to proceed with a wrongful termination lawsuit to clear her name, beginning an almost two-year legal battle.

In August 2019, Mayra was awarded $3 million dollars and won her case against Planned Parenthood.
